Rio Ferdinand is infamous for his presence on social media and after Sunday’s victory over Crystal Palace, the former United man used it to praise Mesut Ozil.

The German grabbed a terrific assist for Olivier Giroud’s goal, somehow managing to pick the Frenchman out and fizz in a perfectly-weighted pass for the striker to scissor-kick into the net.

To Arsenal fans, Ozil’s assists and unreal vision have become the norm but for many watching the match, they reacted as if they’d never seen the midfielder play like this before.

Ferdinand was no different, tweeting:
