When Petr Cech moved to Arsenal, there was talk of his long-term goalkeeping coach, Christophe Lollichon, also coming to London Colney.

However, after the signing was made, it became apparent that we wouldn’t be signing the world class coach.

Now, it appears that we could still be in with a chance as Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be sacking Lollichon (along with pretty much all of Chelsea’s backroom staff).

The manager is reportedly unhappy with the goalkeeping coaches methods and no longer wants him at the club. Apparently, the relationship between Lollichon and Mourinho has been strained since the transfer of Cech to Arsenal and now the Blue’s boss is dissatisfied with the quality of the coach’s sessions.

If reports are true and Lollichon is indeed on his way out of Chelsea, I can’t help but be optimistic that he could be joining Cech at Arsenal. This could be just wishful thinking though.
