Arsenal travel to Selhurst Park on Sunday hoping to get their first points of the new season on the board.

Crashing to an opening day defeat at the hands of West Ham, who then promptly imploded in their next game as teams tend to do after the play out of their skins against Arsenal, the Gunners will be hoping they can navigate what is set to be a tricky test against Alan Pardew’s men.

Speaking to the media, Francis Coquelin thinks he knows what Arsenal need to do to make sure they recover from last weekend and why the defeat to the Hammers wasn’t all bad.

“It’s been a wake-up call for everyone,” Coquelin said

“Considering we were going really well in pre-season, it’s disappointing and it was not an Arsenal performance.

“However, it’s good that it happened in the first game so that now we can pull ourselves together with 37 games left. We’ve got time to put things right and that needs to start at Palace.

“Everybody realises that we need to put more in.

“We need to pull ourselves together and it’s going to be a real test because Palace have a really good squad.

“We know the quality we have and we need to respond straight away.”

Next up for Arsenal after the game against Palace is a home tie against Liverpool.

Time to start collecting those points.
