On Sunday, Petr Cech faced his former team for the first time since transferring to Arsenal and took to social media after the 1-0 to thank his new fans.

The goalkeeper didn’t have a huge amount to do against his old team in the Community Shield but when called into action, particularly during a free-kick in the second half, he stood (or leaped) to the challenge.

After the match, the 33-year-old thanked the fans, old and new, via his Twitter account.
