Joel Campbell’s agent has reportedly said that although the winger is currently residing in London, he’s open to a move.
The 23-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs during this transfer window, the most recent of which being Serie A club, Palermo, who seemed to be keen on the youngster. However, Arsenal were supposedly being difficult over the player’s price, asking the Italian club to double their original offer of £3.5m.
Campbell has been pushed and pulled from pillar to post since joining Arsenal and has been loaned out a few times, most recently to Villarreal, where he featured 22 times.
Palermo, however, are said to want the winger on a permanent deal.
Although the only source of his agent’s quote I can find it Twitter, it sounds like a perfectly reasonable statement, considering I highly doubt the player wants to remain in north London.
