Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak will be staying at the La Liga club this season.

Now I’m not claiming to be ITK, but the midfielder confirmed it himself on Twitter on Wednesday.

The Polish midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, after the Gunners have allegedly been sending scouts to watch him. He has a release clause which can be activated by a big of £21M but Arsène Wenger has chosen against bidding that up to this point, so we can only assume he didn’t want him, or wasn’t convinced by him, in the first place.

Lots of smoke, but apparently no fire. Krychowiak remains at Sevilla and Arsenal’s search for a midfielder (if the club are indeed searching) goes on.
