Arsenal have agreed a long term deal with One World Sport in order to show Arsenal TV over in the USA.

Although the matches will have a ten minute delay, America fans will be able to watch Arsenal play throughout season.

The service, which will show Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup fixtures, will also include additional match coverage, such as player interviews.

The agreement has been made through MP & Silva, an international media rights agency, and CEO, Marco Auletta, has spoken about the deal, saying, “We have a long-term strategic media partnership with Arsenal FC with a record distribution of the Arsenal Media Channel to 130 territories, in five continents and 30 million supporters around the world.

“The following of soccer in the United States and Canada has proven to be one of our key growing markets and we continue to build a strong reputation for Arsenal – one of the world’s most successful and best-known clubs.”

Arsenal’s General Manager also added, “It’s a great opportunity for all our fans to watch Arsenal programming and get closer to the club and we’re looking forward to working with them to deliver more great content.”

The opportunity to allow millions to watch matches and additional content in a legal, safe fashion could bring a whole new audience to the game.

It’s not entirely selfless, of course; broadening Arsenal’s demographic will help sell more merchandise and ultimately gain them popularity worldwide. However, regardless of this, it’s bound to be fantastic news for American fans who have already been following the team for a while.
