Following in the footsteps of numerous Gunners, Arsene Wenger took part in a Twitter question and answer session recently, and revealed that all he thinks about is football – unsurprisingly.
The questions touched on a range of topics, from his life in London, what he does in his free time, what his greatest moment for Arsenal has been and the all important question of what product he uses on his hair (none). Our vice-captain even got in on the action.
When quizzed about his favourite aspect of living in London, he said, “The fact that I don’t live far from the training ground or the Emirates. London is a modern, open city.”
The most fulfilling part of managing Arsenal for Wenger was rather touching:
“It’s enjoyable to see how much this club is loved all over the world”
He admitted that sometimes it’s difficult to shut off, in his ‘down time’ off the pitch, he said, “Most of the day I’ll play sport – or think about football!”
Some unsurprising take-aways from the session are that he does believe we can truly challenge for trophies next season, saying, “Of course! We are conscious that competition is intense and it will be a fierce battle, so let’s prepare well.”
In addition, his greatest moment for Arsenal is winning the Premier League for the first time, “Or my last FA Cup win, as it was my sixth.”
