Arsene Wenger has spoken about our chances next season and has described the squad as promising.
The boss has been full of praise lately for our squad, especially now we have key players returning from injury, and once again he’s spoken about how improved our chances of more silverware are now that we have the numbers. He’s also hailed that all-important ‘balance‘, which he’s mentioned before, and praised the strong mentality that our team now has.
Speaking ahead of our match against Everton on Saturday, he said, “What I have learnt about my team is that they have an exceptional mentality. We made some changes on the defensive front and they turned out to be very positive.”
He continued, “The balance looks good now, in fact I would say we are close to a perfect balance in the team. Especially given the players we have coming back, like Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott, I have learned that we have a very promising squad ahead of next season.”
Arsenal face Everton in the Barclays Asia Trophy on Saturday 18th July as part of our pre-season preparation. Facing Premier League opposition will be a real test of our strength and an indicator of where we are. How we play against a strong team will allow us to set up properly and really prepare for the Premier League next season.
Everton have previously drawn 0-0 with Stoke City in the tournament.
