According to cafegoles, Real Madrid could make a shock move to sign Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.

According to Daily Cannon, they aren’t.

The Spanish giants have recently lost legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas, selling the player to FC Porto after 25 years at the club. Casillas was more or less pushed out of the door against his will, but are set to miss out on number one goalkeeping target David De Gea with Manchester United unwilling to lose him this summer.

Meanwhile Arsenal are likely to sell Ospina. The Colombian is still on holiday following the Copa América this summer, and will seek talks with Arsène Wenger when he returns from his holiday. Currently in Singapore, the Arsenal manager used Emiliano Martinez and Wojciech Szczesny in Wednesday’s win over a Singapore Select XI.

Petr Čech will make his debut – albeit in a friendly – against Everton on Saturday, with Wenger confirming that his new signing will play at least a half.

Although he wants to stay there is likely no place for Ospina at Arsenal anymore, but Madrid already have their Casillas replacement.

But they already have their replacement.

The similarly named Kiko Casilla is set to complete a move to Madrid. The Espanyol goalkeeper is being chased by the 10 times European Champions, who are reportedly closer and closer to an agreement which would see him challenge Keylor Navas for the number one shirt.
