After speculation that Yaya Sanogo could be destined for another loan move to Ligue 1 side, Lille, it seems the striker could in fact be on his way to Ajax.
Apparently, the youngster is close to a move to the Dutch side, and if the loan happens, will be under Dennis Bergkamp, who is the assistant manager of the team. The reports imply that the Arsenal legend will work closely with him in order to hone his skill and hopefully, improve his chances of becoming a world class striker.
This would be a great opportunity for Sanogo, who hasn’t exactly set the Premier League on fire after joining us in 2013. For the second half of last season, we loaned him out to Crystal Palace, where he appeared 11 times, only scoring once. Not great for a striker trying to get into the Arsenal first team.
Perhaps the 22-year-old will have more luck gaining experience at another team, who may have more use for him at this time.
