Arsenal allegedly want to sign Newcastle winger, Rolando Aarons, after negotiations for a new contract with the Toon have fallen through.

Talks over tying the 19-year-old down have stalled and, according to reports, we’re waiting in the wings to run in and grab him.

The Jamaican youngster has only featured six times for Newcastle’s senior team but at the age of 19, that’s not a huge deal. He’s made 24 appearances for the u21 team. However, only seven of these came last season due to a hamstring injury, which saw him sidelined for most of the season.

During the previous season, he made 13 appearances and scored three goals.

Apparently we’re not the only ones interested in for the forward (what else is new?), with the likes of Liverpool also supposedly also hot on his heels, and he’s been dubbed the one of the biggest young talents in the country. However, I’m not sure we would buy a young player off the back of a long term injury like this.
