On Sunday, we picked up on the news that we were allegedly looking at Barcelona’s Pedro and now it’s being reported that we’ve made contact.

According to reports coming out of Spain, we’ve approached Pedro’s representatives over possibly bringing the winger to the Emirates.

Again, it’s unclear whether these rumours have any substance behind them or whether the 27-year-old is just angling for more playing time. Apparently, he’s been unhappy with his lack of time on the pitch during the last season. Although he featured in 50 matches, his minutes on the field were limited and he rarely got a full game.

The winger has a huge price tag to the tune of £110m but according to the Independent, this is just to give Barcelona leverage over negotiations and he could actually go for as little as £15m.

It’ll be interesting to see how the story plays out over the next couple of days, if we have indeed made contact.
