Monday afternoon saw Arsenal finally confirm the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Čech.

The transfer is one that will sicken José Mourinho, with Chelsea strengthening a direct rival by letting the legendary goalkeeper leave for north London.

Čech himself insists that he is driven and excited. The goalkeeper wants to play regular football again and, having spoken to Arsène Wenger, he truly believes that Arsenal are the right club – somewhere he can win big things.

The goalkeeper is a huge catch for the Gunners, an experienced player who has won everything and is still at an age where he can compete at the top for the foreseeable future.
