Inter Milan’s talented winger Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed he has no desire to join Arsenal – or anyone else for that matter.

The Swiss international put a stop to rumours that he was already looking for a move away from Inter Milan recently by simply saying, “[Am I leaving?] No, no, I’m staying at Inter.”

Well that’s that, then.

I’m pretty convinced we were never interested in the first place. He’s a winger, which we’ve got in abundance, and would probably set us back quite a bit of money. Also, he only joined Inter Milan in blooming January – he’s not even been there a whole season. He’s since gone on to appear 20 times for the club and scored three goals.

Manchester United and Liverpool were also both reportedly interested in the 23-year-old, although there doesn’t seem to be a lot of evidence for this either, except for a bit of interest from Merseyside in the winter transfer window.

Another story that came from nothing and resulted in nothing before the rumour had even left the ground.
