Morgan Schneiderlin seems to have laid all his cards out on the table and spoken out about a potential transfer away from Southampton.

However, is it actually to Arsenal?

It seems as if we’ve been linked with the midfielder since the dawn of time at the moment, without really much evidence to go on rather than hearsay. That is until football editor Charlie Wyett revealed he believes the Frenchman will be joining us soon.

Now the player himself has spoken out and made it clear he has every intention of leaving the Saints very soon.

“The negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of [Southampton’s pre-season] training next week,” he said.

Despite the odds of the DM joining coming to Arsenal being slashed from 5/1 to odds on, the 25-year-old didn’t specify where he’s actually heading and there are a couple of sources claiming that Arsenal have now pulled out of the signing due to Arsene Wenger convincing himself not to, and the midfielder could now well be on his way to Manchester United instead.

The Times are also reporting that Man United are now favourites to get the DM’s signature and not the Gunners.

When it the transfer window ever simple, eh?
