Cuneyt Tanman has confirmed that Galatasary are currently in talks with Lukas Podolski in order to bring in to Turkey.
The writing has been on the wall for a while with Poldi and not many players split opinion like he does. Some complain that he doesn’t get enough playing time to really show how good he is and use his stats as an example. Before he went on loan to Inter Milan, his goal-per-minute ratio was fantastic.
However, others would argue back that he didn’t track back enough; that when he did get the chance to shine he came across as lazy and uninspired. It would be argued that he didn’t need to defend if he was banging in the goal at the other end – of course others disagreed.
Rumours that the German was off the Galatasary started a while ago, with Poldi later confirming he was off to the Turkish giants and wanted to leave Arsenal.
Now, Galatasary’s sporting direction has confirmed their interest from the other side.
“We are dealing with Podolski,” the exact translation says. However, many are reporting that it means they are interested in Poldi.
Of course, I think we all know by now that the bloke is off, don’t we?
