Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is yet to feature at the u21 European Championships in Czech Republic but it is showing no signs of getting him down.

The young centre-half hasn’t been picked despite the absence of John Stones, with England boss Gareth Southgate instead opting for Liam Moore of Leicester City.

It isn’t bothering Chambers, though, who took to Twitter on Monday to praise the mood in the England camp.

The 20 year-old said he was proud of his team getting a result against Sweden on Sunday. England won 1-0 courtesy of a late goal from Jesse Lingard, which keeps their fate in their own hands heading into the final group game against Italy on Wednesday.

In his first season at Arsenal Chambers made 36 first-team appearances as well as making his England debut, and has said that the season exceeded his own expectations.
