Joel Campbell is a wanted man.

With rumours of a bid coming from David Moyes’ Real Sociedad and interest from Turkey, the Costa Rican is not short of suitors ahead of the new season.

As it looks increasingly likely that he will be leaving, whether that is on loan or a permanent basis, it just remains to be seen where he ends up.

Speaking after Costa Rica’s game against Spain, Joel was asked about the interest from the Spanish side who tried to sign him on January.

“It’s something that is not in my hands,” Campbell said in the mixed zone. “But in the club to which I belong.

“It’s always an honour when such an important club such as Real Sociedad values you.”

Campbell has previously spoken about his willingness to leave on loan if that is what gives him the best chance of having a future at Arsenal.

Although he’s still only 22 (and we must remember that Francis Coquelin teaches us all not to write anyone off) it’s hard to see Joel still being at the club in a couple of years.

That being said, it was hard to see Le Coq still being here either….
