Not for the first time Arsenal are being linked with Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

Arsenal are allegedly competing with Manchester United for the signature of a player this summer.

On Tuesday, The Times said that we are considering a move for Sevilla midfielder Krychowiak, who has won 24 caps for his country.

Success

And that isn’t all he’s won.

Krychowiak recently scored the equalising goal in the Europa League Final as Sevilla came from behind to win 3-2 against Dnipro of Ukraine.

Hardly known for his goalscoring prowess, the midfielder is more used to winning the ball before playing a simple pass.

He has only been at Sevilla for one season since signing from Reims, but quickly established himself as a key part of the side as they finished 5th in La Liga and retained the Europa League.

Competition

The Pole, who signed for Sevilla for just £3.3M last summer has a release clause in his contract, which has been reported to be as low as £21M or as high as £24M.

Either way, if Arsenal really want him, there isn’t much difference between those two fees.

Ilkay Gündogan and Morgan Schneiderlin are both available and looking to move, and it appears that Arsenal and Manchester United will both be signing new midfielders for their sides this summer.

Krychowiak is just another name to add to the least of potential buys in midfield.
