Jack Wilshere’s first half goal against West Brom on Sunday was voted as the BBC Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season.

Slamming home a half-volley to put Arsenal three-goals up against Tony Pulis’s men at the Emirates, Arsenal’s huge twitter following might have something to do with why he won the award.

Sure, the goal was amazing, but was it *really* the best of the season?

Who cares.

Wilshere won with 34.7% of the vote with Stoke’s Charlie Adam and his goal against Chelsea from inside his own half in second place with 20.8 %. Juan Mata’s bicycle kick against Liverpool was third with 12%.

Jack’s goal against Norwich won the competition last year.
