It’s been a while since we’ve had to listen to Arsene Wenger after a defeat, three months to be exact.

He hasn’t changed.

Speaking immediately after the final whistle when his side had totally dominated a Swansea side who had come to defend but left with more than they could have imagined, the manager could have been speaking after any one of 100 other games that we’ve seen before.

“It’s frustrating because we lost a game when we were less under threat [than we have been] the whole season,” he said.

“[We were] A bit unlucky on the goal, but guilty as well.

“It’s frustrating but there are a lot of positives in this game. You play this game 20 times, you win it 19.”

It’s probably not what many fans want to hear after the game which has seen familiar problems raise their ugly head.

That being said, losing one after winning the previous ten makes it significantly easier to take, and what better way to get focused for a trip to Old Trafford?
