Carl Jenkinson has been out on loan with West Ham United this season and has been getting some playing time under his belt. Should we bring him back?

According to Arsene Wenger in his presser ahead of our Swansea City game on Monday night, it’s not a question of ‘if’, it’s ‘when‘.

The rightback is probably a bigger Gooner than most of us put together, so when the news that we’d loaned Jenkinson out to West Ham broke, many were a little down, to say the least. However, without getting regular playing time in the first team, the 23-year-old was finding it harder and harder to improve.

The defender has played in 29 games for the Hammers and even got two assists under his belt (via WhoScored).

Luckily, Wenger said, “The decision is now whether to bring him back now or give him one more year on loan.”

Jenkinson’s one of the those players who you want to come good so badly, just because of his desire, spirit and love for the team. Hopefully his time at West Ham will mean he can stay at the club he loves.
