Arsene Wenger met with the press ahead of Arsenal’s game at Old Trafford on Sunday.

As we near the end of the season, the reporters were keen to ask Wenger about his plans for the transfer window and the boss admitted that he is not interested in anybody ‘at the minute‘ leading us to believe that we could be set for another deadline day bonanza.

Aren’t they just the best?

Regardless, it puts all the rumours we’ve been dealing with lately in a new light and ups the pinch of salt to a shovel.

While he doesn’t look like he’s going to be too busy in the transfer window, the same cannot be said for Manchester United about whom the boss said

“I expect Man United to be active in the transfer market. Every player I am offered, Man United are already on his case!”

He also added “He [LvG] has shown that he has the personality to be at a club of that size. We expect them to buy some strong players.”

Whether he was simply referring to the fact that agents often say that a club is interested in a player to try and prompt another club to make a move is not clear but with Memphis Depay already secured I don’t think anyone is expecting United to stop there.
