Although many of us aware Arsenal players Abou Diaby and Mathieu Flamini will be free men come this summer, some of the other Premier League players available on a free are quite surprising.

The Telegraph have compiled a list of the 65 players set of free moves during this transfer window.

One of the most surprising, personally, is Didier Drogba. Love or hate the man, he is lethal in front of goal – particularly against us. Despite being 37-year-old and only making 32 appearances in all competitions (via WhoScored), with under half of those being starts, he scored seven goals this season.

However, he always said he’d be back to his old club Chelsea for one season and, at this point in time, it seems as if he and the club will honour that agreement.

Other noteworthy players leaving on a free include most of what appears to be Leicester City’s entire squad; James Milner, who is rumoured to want a move to the Emirates; Premier League veteran, Brad Friedel, and 40-year-old Jussi Jaaskelainen, who has only played for 27 minutes for West Ham United this season.
