Alexis Sanchez has been named in Monday Night Football’s Team of the Season.
The Chilean forward exploded onto the Premier League scene after his big-money move from Barcelona in the summer and, given that he arrived not speaking the language, he has been more than a revelation.
MNF is perhaps the most highly regarded football show, especially in the UK for the level of their analysis.
Al has also made the five-man shortlist for the PFA Fan’s Player of the Season and while I doubt he will win that (it will end up going to Eden Hazard no doubt because most people are idiots and believe what the press tell him despite Sanchez having very similar stats and it being his first season in the Premier League) it is yet more acknowledgement for the amazing season he has had.
