After scoring a brace in Arsenal’s match against Hull City, Alexis Sanchez has flown to the top of the EA Sports Performance Index table for May.

The Gunners won the match 3-1, with the Chilean scoring the first and third goals, while midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored the second.

Alexis’ first goal was from a superb freekick, which took a killer deflection into the net. The third saw Alexis round the ‘keeper after a stunning through-ball from Ramsey, only for the forward to slot it calmly into the goal.

The third goal also, incidentally, became Arsenal’s 100th in all competitions this season – a huge achievement and more than we scored last season, showing an improvement on that front.

In addition to two goals, the 26-year-old also had 83% pass completion, with his game index rating coming out on top at 61.9, ahead of the likes of Player of the Year and Chelsea midfielder, Eden Hazard (40.2), and Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard (37.2).

Also in the list was our very own Santi Cazorla with a game index of 36.5. He not only had one assist but an astonishing 94.3% pass completion rate – higher than anyone else in the list.
