Santi Cazorla knows what it takes to make sure that Arsenal always win.

On the best winning run in the division, Arsenal brushed Liverpool aside and left their Champions League hopes in pieces as an eight-minute blitz and Olivier Giroud’s injury-time fourth sent the Reds back to Liverpool wondering where it all went wrong.

“Liverpool have very good players with Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho,” Cazorla told Arsenal player. “But the team played very compact and played together, which is very important for us. When we defend together, we always win.”

With seven league wins in a row, Arsenal will travel to Burnley in their next game looking to consolidate their top three place, and with the two Manchester sides playing each other they know they have a real chance to steal second on a permanent basis – assuming Manchester City beat Palace on Monday night. If they lose to Alan Pardew’s side, Arsenal could go into the game already looking to extend their lead in second place.

“The confidence is high for everyone and we need to play the same now we have a week of rest, and then we need to prepare for the next game,” Cazorla added.
