Could one of the Blues want to become a Red and White?

It’s no secret that the media has been linking Liverpool ace Raheem Sterling with a move to the Emirates in the summer, with Theo Walcott moving to Merseyside in a suspected swap deal. However, there’s also been talk that the 20-year-old could be on his way to the blue side of Manchester instead of the Gunners, which is more likely as, ultimately, they can offer a lot more money in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Saying this, as Sterling has sited Champion’s League football as one of his aims next season, if City fail to achieve this, we could once again see ourselves in the driving seat.

A new player who’s been dragged into this transfer threesome is City Midfielder, James Milner, reportedly coming to Arsenal.

Milner, who’s out of contract in the summer, apparently wants to come to the Emirates, snubbing Liverpool and a new contract with City.

Although we already have an abundance of midfielders, with Mikel Arteta potentially being on his way out, an experienced player could be a welcome addiction this summer. Saying this, in the current starting lineup, it’s difficult to see where the 29-year-old would fit with the team gelling so well as of late.

Would the Englishman be prepared to potentially sit on the bench when that’s one of the reasons he apparently wants to leave the Blues?

Not likely.

What is likely, is that he’ll accept a handsome offer with a club away from the Premier League.
