Monreal may have opened the scoring against Manchester United on Monday night, but his goal didn’t just do that.

It also took Arsenal to 20 different goalscorers for the season.

Not bad for a one-man team who would be lost without Alexis Sanchez, eh?

Only three players, excluding goalkeepers, have failed to find the net for Arsenal this season – Mathieu Flamini, Francis Coquelin and Gabriel who’s only just arrived.

Not only have Arsenal got more individual goalscorers than any other side in the top flight (this was also true across Europe at the start of February but I can’t be sure that’s still the case), they also have assists from 17 different players.

As Arsene Wenger says, it is very much a team game.

To get that many goals from all over the pitch is quite the achievement from the manager whom many claim is tactically inept.

I only wish I was as inept as him.
