Essential works are set to cause disruption to Arsenal fans on matchday.

Highbury & Islington station will be exit and interchange only and a solution has not been found to ease the inconvenience for match-going fans despite meetings between Arsenal, Islington Could, Transport for London and the Met Police.

Arsenal have advised supporters to make alternative arrangements if they tend to use the station after the game, adding that fans should ‘leave extra time for their journeys’.

The works will keep the station as exit and interchange only for the immediate future with no estimate given as to when normal service will be resumed on matchdays.

The station will be open as normal at other times although one of the two station entrances will be closed at times.

People are advised to check the TfL website for further information but I’ve already done that and there is now.
