Twitter is awash with reports that Hector Bellerin has signed a new deal with the club.

[UPDATE 13.03.15 – Wenger has confirmed the deal has been offered]

The reports, if they are true, would see the Spaniard extend his deal until 2019.

They seem to have originated with Spanish journalist Kike Marin who tweeted

If Hector signed the same deal as Jon Toral who joined the club at the same time then his current Arsenal deal is set to expire this summer.

Toral has been speaking about his contract and the hopes that Arsenal will take up the option to extend it.

While Bellerin’s deal looks as if it has been extended, I would be very surprised if it wasn’t a new contract entirely including a hefty payrise to reflect his new-found status as a first-team regular.

As we say, these are just reports and nothing is official at this point but I would be inclined to believe the information.
