A review of transfers completed in 14/15 has determined that Alexis Sanchez has been the most beneficial transfer of the season.

Undertaken at the request Soccerex and completed by Prime Time Sports, the review found that the Chilean, when compared to nine other players, all comprising the most expensive signings of the season, came out on top.

The study took into account the number of minutes each had played and from what I can tell this is what their conclusion is based on although I’m sure there was more to it than just that, as that sort of basic research hardly warrants an official presentation in Spain.

Alexis Sanchez has played 87% of the total Premier League minutes available to him since his arrival at Arsenal, the same number as Romelu Lukaku. The report in the Spanish press doesn’t state how they then differentiated between the players.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa is also in the top ten having played 78% of Chelsea’s Premier League minutes.

On the flip side, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw (32%), Ander Herrera (35%) and Angel Di Maria (50%) are at the bottom of the list.
