Aaron Ramsey’s thunderbolt volley against Galatasaray has been voted ‘goal of the group stages’ in this year’s Champions League.

The goal, which was hit from 28.7 yards from the goalline and travelled at 53.4mph and took 1.1 seconds to hit the net after it left his foot, was really something quite special.

Coming on Matchday Six, Ramsey’s strike saw off efforts by Cristiano Ronaldo and Francesco Totti to take top spot in a competition run by Nissan.
