He comes in for a lot of criticism but in a roundup of stats for 2014 and for the first half of the 14/15, Arsenal’s shouty man makes a surprise appearance.

I’m as guilty as the next person when it comes to having a go at Mathieu Flamini for not being good enough and if you’d asked me if he was likely to make a list of ‘highest’ anything then it would be the list that detailed how much pointing a player had done on the pitch.

But, it seems that the French midfielder isn’t too bad at the ol’ passing game either.

While stats can prove everything and nothing, I make no claims about these ones.

As I said in the headline, they are simply surprising from the player who was named in Goal’sWorst team of the season so far’ due to his two errors that have led directly to goals.
