Arsenal have offered Chuba Akpom a three-year deal according to a report in the Independent earlier this week.

Akpom, who is still only 19, has already made three appearances this season and while other strikers have been allowed to leave the club he has been kept close at hand.

With only six months remaining on his current deal, the club were keen to ensure that the forward’s future was tied to Arsenal especially after the player received offers from FC Twente, Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund.

With interest also coming from other Premier League clubs it is not yet 100% certain that the player, who has been at Arsenal since he was six, will remain at Arsenal.

The only thing clear at the minute is that the player will be at Arsenal until the end of the season after Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo were allowed to leave and Benik Afobe was sold to Wolves.
