Arsenal are believed to be set to give their answer to Real Sociedad’s ‘can we have Joel Campbell’ question on Wednesday.

The Mail are reporting that David Moyes, who wants to take the Costa Rican on loan until the end of the season, is expecting a ‘yay’ or ‘nay’ sometime in the next 24 hours or so.

Arsenal are believed to be open to selling Campbell but not sending him out on loan mid-season.

Out of contract in 2016, it would seem that his time at Arsenal isn’t going to really work out.

Hardly selected by Wenger, the players in front of him are significantly better and it is doubtful that Campbell can be talked into playing a bit-part role after tasting regular first team action with Olympiacos last season.

It would seem pure folly for Arsenal to allow a third forward to leave in this window but this is one rumour that is refusing to die down.

I guess we will find out soon enough if there is any substance to it.
