Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting that Espanyol defender Hector Moreno (27) has changed agents to be represented by Mino Raiola.

The agent has a reputation for getting his players the deals they want and Moreno has been looking to leave the Spanish side since the summer, when his chances were ruined by injury.

Sport are also suggesting Arsenal are willing to bid €8M for the Mexican international, following reports from this country.

Last week the Daily Mail said Brian McDermott had been sent to watch him.

Sp*rs and Man Utd have also been linked with the centre-back.

Moreno has been capped 57 times and started all four of the nation’s games at the World Cup in Brazil before getting injured against the Netherlands.

The centre-back has only just returned and played a mere 121 minutes in La Liga this season and Espanyol are comfortably in ninth place despite his absence so may look to cash in on a player with just 18 months left on his contract.

Whether or not Arsenal would be willing to sign a centre-back yet to prove his fitness remains to be seen, but wouldn’t be a surprise.
