Arsene Wenger met with the press on Monday morning ahead of Arsenal’s penultimate Premier League game of the season against Sunderland on Tuesday evening.

He gave the following team updates ahead of a game he is sure to rotate heavily for:

“We have a little problem with Koscielny from Stoke and we will see how he has recovered today. Everybody else should be available.”

Wenger also confirmed that Kieran Gibbs, who was left out of the squad for the game in Middle Earth, will return to the squad.

But what of Alexis Sanchez?

He asked to come off, so bad was his thigh against Stoke (though not bad enough to stop him scoring).

“Alexis will have a test today to see,” Wenger said when asked about the Chilean. “Yesterday it didn’t look too good but with him you never know, he so keen.

“It was just a kick so maybe it’s possible that he returns for tomorrow.

“Koscienly has a little recurrence of his calf problem that left him out against Southampton. Alexis a kick on his thigh,” Wenger added.

The Ox could be back for the Cup final but will not be back for Everton. “I would say it’s 80/20” that he could return, Wenger said.
