Theo Walcott has now become Arsene Wenger’s longest serving player in 20 years having been at Arsenal for 3910 days.

The forward first signed for Arsenal from Southampton on the 20th January 2006, so we’re not that far off from him spending 11 years at the club.

The 27-year-old has made 352 appearances in all competitions and you have to imagine this number has been hugely impacted by injuries.

Walcott has now been a Gunner for 3910 days. This is now an extra day more than Johan Djourou who, until this point, was Arsene Wenger’s longest serving signing.

Although his career with us has been a rocky one, I can’t help but appreciate that when it has been going pretty well for him he’s ‘signed da ting’ and stayed. Even when the likes of Robin van Persie were swanning off to rivals, he stayed put. Some may argue it’s simply because he wasn’t as good, and you may be right, but still. It’s nice.

Now, Wenger’s faith in him could be paying off as he’s hit the form of his life. Hopefully it continues.
