ESPN recently claimed that Alexandre Lacazette doesn’t have a new contract offer from Arsenal, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

They went on to add that Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, and Sevilla are all monitoring the situation. It seems that interest from Sevilla could potentially prove the most useful in January.

La Razon report that Arsenal have offered Lacazette to Sevilla in return for Youssef En-Nesyri.

Sevilla could consider going for the Arsenal striker in January, to try and get ahead of the competition. They also know they’re going to lose En-Nesyri to AFCON this season, so getting in a replacement in the winter window would bridge that gap.

En-Nesyri has a release clause of €80m (£68.5m), and the report suggests Arsenal would still need to pay some money on top of offering up Lacazette – who will only have six months on his contract.

But even including Lacazette, the expectation is that Sevilla wouldn’t be asking for the full value of En-Nesyri’s release clause. They were looking for more like £35m total for the forward last January.

En-Nesyri has two goals and two assists in six appearances this season, after his 24-goal campaign in 2020/21. He’s under contract with Sevilla until 2025.
