Football.London report that Arsenal youth striker Nikolaj Moller will join FC Viktoria Köln on loan this season. The priority is clearly regular game time, as he’ll be playing in the German third division with his loan club.

That’s no bad thing though. Moller is only making his first step into the world of senior football, so he doesn’t need to be playing at a high level just yet, he just needs to be playing.

It’s worth remembering Moller only turned 19 yesterday, and he joined Arsenal less than a year ago. It makes sense to take things step by step.

Moller scored seven goals and assisted three in 20 appearances in his first campaign with the club’s u23s. The tall Swedish centre-forward has a lot of good attributes, though he’ll look to be getting on the scoresheet more regularly this campaign.

Arsenal made eight u23 players publicly available for loan moves this summer, and Moller appears to be the first of them to secure a temporary transfer.
