Sead Kolasinac is discussing salary and personal terms ahead of his €11m move to Bayer Leverkusen, with the transfer still on despite delays.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Sead Kolasinac move to Bayer Leverkusen is still on, with the player discussing salary and personal terms with the Bundesliga club.

Romano initially estimated the deal would be done in 48 hours, for a fee of €11m plus add-ons. Hence the update letting us know it’s still happening despite the delay.

At the time, Sport Bild also reported that Sead Kolasinac was closing in on a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen for ‘around €10m’.

Sky Germany (via GGFN) claimed Kolasinac’s salary is no longer an issue. Bayer Leverkusen are pushing hard in intense talks for a final agreement with Arsenal. They’re looking to seal the deal ahead of Kolasinac’s former club Schalke.

It’s good business from Arsenal if it goes through, who are getting their asking price for the player.

Kolasinac reportedly wants to return to Germany for family reasons. He was born in the country and also spent his entire footballing development there. So he’s probably more willing to be flexible on wages to achieve that goal.

If the deal goes through, Arsenal will partly have Chelsea to thank. Frank Lampard’s side invested heavily in Kai Havertz from Leverkusen, giving them funds to offer to the Gunners.

This is the first of a few outgoings Arsenal must finalise if they want to make a signing or two before next Monday’s deadline.
