Mesut Ozil was on another planet during Arsenal’s emphatic 5-0 win over Huddersfield.

Arsenal got off their mark early with a fourth-minute goal from Alexandre Lacazette. It looked as if it was going to be a straight-forward win, and the scoreline probably suggests it was, but it was anything but.

The Gunners took their foot off the break from around the 20th minute until the second half, where they still struggled to get a grip of the game early on.

Fortunately, despite the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Granit Xhaka not really turning up, Ozil went on a mad one, assisting twice and scoring in the space of three minutes. What a player he is. He’s simply unstoppable when he’s in this form and I’m definitely here for the midfielder continuing to make pundits look stupid.

Here’s how everyone got on individually against Huddersfield.

Mesut Ozil – 10

The playmaker was once again brilliant, constantly looking to influence the game and making runs into spaces the Huddersfield players hadn’t even seen. In the second half, he managed two assists in two minutes and a goal himself not long after. What a player.

He also put through a total of FIVE key passes.

It should be noted that the media seems to love Spurs’ Christian Eriksen but he’s not provided an assist for two months… Mesut provided two in two minutes.

Alexis Sanchez – 6

Another terrible showing from the forward. Probably his worst display in an Arsenal kit and he was dispossessed more than any other Arsenal player – three times. I was going to give him a five but he scored so…

Alexandre Lacazette – 7

The striker was fantastic in the first half, having two shots on target, scoring and constantly fighting for a second. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old picked up a knock and was taken off for Giroud at the break. Hopefully, it wasn’t anything serious and the boss just wants him rested for United at the weekend.

Olivier Giroud – 7

The big guy was hit or miss quite literally. He had SIX shots during the 45 minutes he was on the pitch; three were off-target, one hit the woodwork and one was blocked. However, he scored a brace. Go figure.
