Arsenal staged a second half comeback to defeat Swansea.

Another home game, another win. Arsenal have been doing pretty well at home this season. They were so confident that they thought to give Swansea a head start.

Sam Clucas’ first half goal was enough to turn the Emirates crowd into a groaning mess. Arsenal’s performance was lacking in quality, but they found just enough of it in the second to turn things around. Sead Kolasinac fired them level before setting up Aaron Ramsey for the winner.

It wasn’t as slick a performance as it was against Everton, but a win is a win.

Here’s how the players got on.

Midfielders

Hector Bellerin 5

As frustrating as he was dynamic.

Bellerin zipped up and down the right flank but often played it safe with his passing and didn’t look to take anyone on.

He improved in the second half, but you feel the Spaniard could be doing a lot more with the freedom he’s given.

Granit Xhaka 6

Xhaka demonstrated good character as he could have easily let frustration get the better of him.

His performance was littered with sloppy passes, even when he had team-mates unmarked just yards away.

The crowd was getting on his back, but he kept his head, upped his game and made a big difference in the second half.

His ability to switch the play and find Kolasinac down the left was crucial to Arsenal’s comeback.

Aaron Ramsey 6

Ramsey had a quiet game in the first half, with Swansea denying any space in behind for him to run into.

In the second half, with Arsenal doing a better job of stretching them, he found more pockets of space.

He was on hand to tuck away the winning goal with a tidy finish.

Two goals in two games, and maybe a sign he’s finding his form in front of goal again.

Sead Kolasinac 8

The Bosnian was by far our most effective attacker.

A few of his crosses were poor, but the timing of his runs was on point and he always available for a pass.

His goal to draw us level was extremely well taken, while he kept his composure to pick-out Ramsey with a good pass for the second.

Fingers crossed his injury isn’t a serious one.
