Arsenal beat BATE Borisov 4-2 in the Europa League on Thursday night but while some players were brilliant, others let the team down by making basic mistakes.

Well that was far more exciting than I thought it was going to be.

Theo Walcott managed to score a brace despite actually not playing well at all while Jack Wilshere was fantastic.

Defensively, Arsenal were a shambles but what else is new?

The Young Guns got a run out and, for the most part, impressed.

Here’s how they all did individually.

2. Midfield

Joe Willock – 6.5

Willock was decent and seemed comfortable in the centre of the park.

He became a little wasteful towards the end but the 18-year-old was dead on his feet by this stage.

He won five tackles and completed 91% of his passes.

Mohamed Elneny – 6

Once again, Elneny was quiet and did what he needed to do. Mostly, anyway.

He completed 94% of his passes.

Reiss Nelson – 7.5

A much better performance than his display against Doncaster as a wing-back. The 17-year-old was involved in almost everything and seemed remarkably comfortable on the ball.

Nelson completed three dribbles out of the four he attempted.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 7

Although he was once again played as a wing-back, Maitland-Niles had a decent match.

He won two aerial duels, made four clearances and five interceptions.
