Sadar Azmoun, also known as the ‘Iranian Messi’ is a reported transfer target for Arsenal who could fight Lazio and West Ham for his signature.

Yawn.

Sadar Azmoun currently plays for Russian club FK Rostov, and the Iranian international joined the club on a permanent basis just last summer after spending two seasons on loan from Rubin Kazan.

The Iranian international plays as a central striker but is also adapted to play in a role behind the main striker. He recorded 41 appearances for the club last season over four competitions, contributing 12 goals and three assists.

Weaknesses

At 22 years and having only played in Russia, the player will need to work very hard if he is to join a club from in the top five best leagues in Europe.

Due to his age and inconsistency, he can often go missing in a game and losses possession easily, and that is possibly the biggest weakness in his game.

Passing is also an aspect that will need improving as the player only completes 60% of all attempts, a rate far too low if he wants to become a great striker.

Next, do Arsenal really want him?
