Ted Drake played for Arsenal Football Club. The former English forward joined Arsenal from Southampton in 1934 for £6,500. Drake retired as an Arsenal player in 1945. In total, he made 184 appearances for Arsenal and scored 139 goals, making him one of Arsenal’s all-time top goalscorers. As a manager, Drake won the First Division title with Chelsea. He was born on August 16, 1912 and passed away on May 30, 1995 at the age of 82.
