Cliff Bastin played for Arsenal Football Club. The former English forward joined Arsenal in 1929 from Exeter City and he remained an Arsenal player until his retirement in 1947. In total, he made 396 appearances and scored 178 goals, making “Boy Bastin” one of Arsenal’s all-time top goalscorers. Bastin was born on March 14, 1912. He passed away on December 4, 1991 at the age of 79.
