Arsenal are one of the clubs after Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer, with the player open to a move, according to reports.

Foot Mercato report that Arsenal join Manchester United as one of the Premier League clubs showing an interest in Tolisso. From abroad, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are also in the race for the midfielder.

Tolisso joined Bayern Munich in 2017, but Arsenal were even showing interest back then. In the end, they probably couldn’t afford to buy two players from Lyon in one summer, given how much they spent on Alexandre Lacazette.

Things aren’t going so well for the 25-year-old this season, though. In the Bundesliga, he’s up to 13 appearances, but he only played more than 45 minutes in two league games between mid-October and the league shutdown.

Mostly, he’s either coming off the bench or sitting out completely. The France international has three goals and five assists in 1,359 minutes in all competitions this season.

It’s a completely different story with his country. Tolisso played every minute of France’s qualifiers in September, October and November. It’s just with Bayern that he’s struggling to get consistent game time.

Arsenal will likely need to sign a midfielder this summer. Tolisso has a contract until 2022, and if he’s available, he could be worth a look.
